Ariana Serapiglia
I attended the University of Toronto, where I earned a B.A. Degree, majoring in Criminology and Political Science, followed by my law degree (LL.B.) at the University of Brighton and my Master’s (LL.M.) at Osgoode Hall Law School.
My interest in real estate began in 2016, when I worked part-time at a real estate brokerage. What piqued my interest was what happens beyond the initial stage of buying or selling a property and the integral role of a real estate lawyer. Fast forward to 2020 – I had completed my law degree and found myself working at another real estate brokerage. I was also taking a real estate law course that focused primarily on resale transactions. The experiences at the brokerages gave me first-hand exposure to the sales side of things and how rewarding and exciting the world of real estate is. My forward-facing role taught me how to connect with clients during a stressful yet exciting process. Learning more and more about real estate law solidified my interest in it, and I knew that’s what I wanted to practice.
When I joined the WEARELAW team, I was introduced to pre-construction real estate and started reviewing new build agreements. I enjoy learning about the intricacies of the agreements, seeing the variation from project-to-project, and negotiating with the developer’s lawyers. With the guidance of David, Sonia, and the rest of the team, I am enjoying learning more and more about the pre-construction industry and hope to share that insight with you.
My goal is to help ensure a smooth closing, whether you are buying your forever home or an investment property. I look forward to working with you on your next transaction.
